So, when I think hurt/comfort, I think about one of my top ten movies — Dead Again. I’ve loved it for years — the story of doomed lovers in the past, an amnesiac mute woman, a hard-boiled PI, tons of art and music and gorgeous black and white scenes. 

I won’t give too much away, but Emma Thompson was at her most luminous, and Kenneth Brannaugh still stuns me.

But it’s the whole idea that love can heal what’s broken that hooks me, every time.
